![]() Season 2 finds our heroine, brave Claire Randall-Fraser ( Caitriona Balfe), once again torn between times. The great strength, or at least one of the great strengths, of Starz’s most assured, inventive series to date (well, that and the excellent The Girlfriend Experience), is that it continues to challenge expectations, shifting genres sometimes scene-to-scene, but always steadfast in its rich, deeply earnest vision. So when I say that Season 2 of Outlander, premiering April 9, is just as weird as the show’s ever been, read that as high praise. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Outlander is a weird show, we’ve established that. ![]()
